Description:
HMS Dreadnought, commissioned in 1963, was the United Kingdom’s first nuclear-powered submarine. Marking a major shift in Royal Navy capabilities, it was built using an American reactor and British engineering, forming the foundation for the UK's modern undersea fleet.
This 30-inch model is handcrafted using the traditional plank-on-frame method and built from top-tier woods including Red Cedar, Teak, and Mahogany. From the sleek bow to the compact sail (conning tower) and aft propeller housing, every curve reflects this historic submarine’s pioneering design. Construction takes around 3 to 6 months depending on detail complexity.
